Completed applications are due by Friday, October 23
About Akiva: The Jewish Camp Leadership Institute
Akiva: The Jewish Camp Learning Institute is a 20-month cohort program for experienced leaders of Jewish overnight camps. Recognizing the unique role camp leaders play in shaping Jewish life, Akiva Institute invites participants into a rich experience of Jewish learning and personal reflection through the exploration of Jewish texts, traditions, values, rituals, and ideas. Through five immersive seminars, biweekly small-group text-study, mentorship, summer site visits, and a capstone project, Akiva Institute supports participants in deepening their Jewish knowledge, strengthening their identities as Jewish leaders, and bringing fresh perspectives on the unique potential for Jewish camp as a setting for jofyul Jewish learning and living.
